Chesham stumble at leaders

Chesham made the long trek to the South West, but came away empty handed.   Chesham lacked pace without Amy Fisher and Anneka Nuttall.  Chesham had the better of the early exchanges but again didnt make the best of the early posession.  Gradually Newquay caused Chesham problems and won succesive free kicks down the right the 2nd was headed in by Newquay.   Both team pressed and a midfield battle commenced when Lisa Nixon was up ended Shan Woodwards free kick got behind the home side defence and some good pressing by Campbell caused a mix up resulting in the defender poking past her own keeper to level the scores.

The second half was again an equal battle, Nadine Bates replaced Leah Taylor and added to Chesham's attack. on 75 minutes Nixon did well to loop a shot in and see it agonilsingly on to the bar.  Almost immediatly Newquay attacked winning a corner, failure to clear at saw the loose ball blasted in by Newquays centre back.    Chesham tried to press again but were pegged back Sandalls gave a free kick away on the edge of the box which resulted in the 3rd for the homeside.   Chesham had some success down the left, debutant Hannah Retallack linked well with Kat Bowers and won a free kick it was whipped in by Woodward and Newquay turned it into their own net.  newquay didnt show any nerves and went straight on the attack a poor defensive clearance force Cath Andrews into a rash challenge and the home side rounded off the scoring with their 4th.
