Chesham Ladies put in a sterling performance at Plymouth last the weekend, Matt Johnstone was without Anneka Nuttall and Debs Young, so Sian Williams returned to partner Cath Andrews at the back Hannah Retallack and Leah Taylor also returned at the back and Tash Sandalls was back in midfield.

Early exchanges were promising for Plymouth and Chesham were quickly put on the back foot as the home side attacked down the left.  Both Kat Bowers and Hannah Retallack took some time to adjust but gradually forced them back.   As the visitors soaked up pressure they looked menacing on the attack. Tash Sandalls clipped a ball into Dawne Campbell she shot and Bowers was on hand to finish as the keeper parried.  Play swung from end to end and Plymouth hit the post and the bar and were dissapointed not to level before the interval.

Chesham fully expected an onslought but Plymouth didnt come out firing on all cylinders. They threatened down their right but Nixon and Taylor did well to win the ball back for the visitors.  Chesham started to win more posession and the home side were forced to shoot from range. Fifteen minutes in and Shan Woodward broke up another attack deep in her half playing up to Campbell, she played a 1st time ball over to Bowers who raced through to score her 7th in 4 matches.   Plymouth threw everything forward but Williams and Andrews are no slouches, and were excellent in the air. The midfield picked up balls finding Campbell who  is always willing to link up play.  As the Plymouth defence cleared Woodward controlled and shot instantaneously from 40yards only to see the ball cannon off the bar and the home side scrambled it away.    Plymouth desperately tried to get forward but Chesham defended excellently protecting Elrick in goal.
