Match Report

After a great win against Oxford City in the previous round Chesham United Ladies couldn't afford to slip up against Winchester City Flyers. Chesham often find this a tricky away tie on a tight pitch, and today was no different.  The visitors had lots of possession but couldn't take their chances.  On the half hour Jo Horwood's corner found Emma Delves who hooked it over her shoulder to open the scoring.  Captain Campbell had to be replaced before the interval as did Nat Adams. Chesham introduced Kat Bowers and Niamh Euman who both added something different to the visitors attack.

The second half saw Chesham continued to dominate, Winchester had spells of strong possession but on 70 minutes a wide free kick by Horwood was met by Euman who turned it in to the far post.

With 10 mins remaining Lambert set Darvill who whipped a great cross, flicked on by Sarah Hazell Euman lifted her shot over the keeper in to the top corner for her 2nd, 2 minutes later Euman crossed to Gladwin who slotted home but the ref have blew for a handball,  Gladwin held her nerve to step up and tuck away the penalty to move Chesham into the next round.

Squad : Masella, Campbell (Euman) Darvill, Harris, Lambert (Hazell) , Smith, Adams (Bowers) Fraser, Horwood, Delves, Gladwin.
